THE SAGA OF JASPER: The Birth of a KING
Episode 1:
A child no more
The King’s Protector and leader of the fierce Dwarven resistance, Jasper, ferociously bellowed while wielding his pickaxe into his enemys’ thick, green skin. But, amidst the primitive war cries, he was suddenly calmed as a gentle breeze drifted toward him from the east. His brittle senses engulf with joy as the winds carried the aroma of the flower beds of Eden over the battlefield. A tranquilizing scent that reminded him of a simpler time…
… a time of peace and contentment. A time nevermore. It was all coming back to him. A scene of a young and curious Jasper frolicking in the luminescent forest among gigantic magical mushrooms in the enchanted land of Hollandar. After visiting his uncle in the MINEs, Jasper traveled the same path as he had a thousand times before but little did he know, on that fateful day, the wonderment and naivete of his youth would come to an end.
In his usual manner, Jasper stopped time from time to marvel at the beauty of the forest. But, as he stared in awe at the wilderness, his eyes shifted, following a creature through the thick, dense forest. The mystery creature, lighting fast, veered up a tree, jumping effortlessly from branch to branch while darting past the old bridge ahead.
While Jasper never leaves the creature’s side, he dashes through the thick foliage and sees the creature run into a small entrance on the side of the mountains cliff. Intrigued, he trotted enthusiastically over and slipped his way through the small opening. Though tiny in stature, he struggled to fit, wiggling forcefully; he finally made his way through and began to tumble down the tunnel, hitting his head and legs numerous times on the chaotic descent.
Now covered in earth, dazed and temporarily blinded by the dust, Jasper finds himself in a precarious position. As he gained consciousness, a glimmer of light appeared in the distance. Crawling with all of his might, he made his way towards what he perceived as orbs pulsating through a small hole in the cave’s wall. Initially smitten by the glow, Jasper begins chiseling away. When he finally breaks through, he starts to tremble when he realizes something frightening has appeared…
